Angela Melick, writer, artist, and resident engineer of the popular webcomic “Wasted talent” is hosting a seminar at the Vancouver public library. Topics will include the basics of writing, comic design styles, how to get published, and more.

The VanDolls present Video Game Burleque: Pew Pew!

There will be Cosplay contest, Video Game themed drinks, food, prizes, and of course, a giant screen to play actual video games on.

Langley’s Largest Gaming store is hosting an open house on February the 18th and 19th at their Langley Bypass Location. Festivities include an all-day Warhammer 40k Apocalypse Tournament on Saturday, Warmachine/Horde Demo tables, a Magic: The Gathering for beginners class and tons of demos for card games like Fluxx and Nuts. There will be door prizes of paint, booster packs and more! Gamestars is located on 19860 Langley Bypass. Turn right on the Fraser Highway for the get there quickly!
Hear ye, hear ye! Calling all LEGO® lovers, brickologists and science-loving adults. Science World and Vancouver LEGO Club are teaming up to bring you an awesome night of building and brew. Grab a glass of beer or wine, stroll through our newly renovated spaces, and check out our newest feature exhibit, LEGO Castle Adventure. Then show off your snapping skills in a building challenge at our LEGO-themed Science World After Dark (SWAD), an evening of building and science fun—just for grown-ups!

We encourage you all to dress up in your favourite costume, put your worries aside and come join us for an evening of fun, dancing, prizes, endurance, and drinks! All this in a VERY safe environment where it’s almost certain you won’t need to watch your friends battle in some sort of geek themed combat to the death. Costumes are not mandatory, but odds are it will be in your favour.
