Man of Steel Superman Insignia Revealed

Superman: The Man of Steel’s facebook page updated last night with the first look at the Superman logo updated for the new movie. The symbol is recognizable, yet properly alien. The brushed steel look gives it an emotional edge that Superman Returns was lacking. However, does it turn into cellophane when you throw it at someone?

Battlestar Galactica Needs a LEGO set

BattlestarLego2

Once again someone has used the medium of lego to create some thing nerdy, epic and all around awe-inspiring. Garry King has made a hobby of building huge lego models of the Battlestar Galactica series. He’s done BaseStars, Battlestars, and even the Orion spaceport from the original 1978 series. This Battlestar Galactica from the original series weighs 15 kilograms and consists of 10261 pieces! You can find more of King’s creations Here and Here

No Demo For Prototype 2

Radical Entertainment has confirmed over twitter that Prototype 2 will not be getting a demo over PSN or XBLA:

@john1451 No demo – the game is just too big to share 1 tiny chunk. April 24th is just around the corner though, have you pre-ordered?

So no love for those who want to try before they buy. But really, if you know what Prototype 2 is and you’re excited about it – Does this really affect your probability of buying it?

Xbox 360 now more Media Machine than Game Console

Statistics have confirmed what we’ve all suspected: Over 50% of the 84 hours a month people spend on Xbox live is spent using media apps like Netflix and Hulu. It seems that Microsoft has succeeded in its “Trojan Horse” strategy of turning the Xbox into a digital hub for every medium in the house. Xbox already has Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, ESPN, MLB.tv, and Disney XD on the console. The addition of HBO Go was another plus for the Xbox, since you could previously only get the service on Roku Box. Coupled with the fact that video stores are going out of business everywhere, consumers are now being forced to RTFM and jury-rig their video game boxes into the Media hub they were meant to be.

X-Files Reunion Coming April 22nd

The Fox Network is hosting an X-files Re-union for its 25th Anniversary Special on April 22nd. Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny, and Chris Carter will be on hand along with reunions from Married: With Children, Ally McBeal, and Beverly Hills 90210. With all these shows getting a retrospective, I just know somebody’s going to be pissed at the lack of a Brisco County Jr. or Space: Above and Beyond reunion.

MechWarrior Tactics is Free-To-Play and Developed in Burnaby

Good News: A new turn-based Mechwarrior game is coming out. Better News: It’s free to play. OMGWTFBBQ!: It’s developed right in my own backyard! Vancouver Developers Roadhouse Interactive and Acronym games have teamed up to create this browser-based gem through the Infinity engine. Does this mean we could play it through iOS? God, I hope there’s support for asynchronous play! Words with Friends is great, but I’d rather defeat my friends with missiles instead of words like “Jugular”.

Photos of the CW’s new pilot The Selection have appeared at Hollywood North On Location. The Selection is based on a novel trilogy by Kiera Cass and tells the story of a world 300 years in the future, where 35 girls are selected to compete for the heart of a wealthy Prince. This presents a problem for America Singer (played by Aimee Teegarden, pictured above) as she is forced to leave behind her secret lover in her hometown. The pilot should air later this year.
